Certification of signature

Signatures can be certified simply or make reference to specific circumstances.

Simple certification refers to the handwriting and signature, or just the signature, of the person signing the document and is always done in person, i.e. in the presence of the Notary or authorised assistant.

Certification with specific circumstances includes, as required by law or at the request of the parties concerned, reference to any special circumstance that concerns them and that is known to the Notary or verified by them on the basis of the documents shown, such as certification of signature in the capacity of company manager or director or in the capacity of attorney-in-fact.
