Ratification of legal transactions

If the powers to represent did not exist or if the attorney exceeded their powers, the transactions concluded are ineffective in relation to the person in whose name they were performed, unless that person ratifies them.

Ratification, therefore, is an instrument whereby the owner of the transaction renders the effects of the act performed by the person acting on their behalf legally binding.

It is subject to the form set out for a power of attorney and is archived at the notary office.
