Authorisation to travel

Minors are unable to travel when they are not accompanied by those who have parental responsibility (both parents or a court decision awarding custody of the child), so they can only leave Portuguese territory with a travel permit.

The authorising parent must bring a valid identification document (ctizien card, ID card, passport or driving licence).
