Disclaimer is an irrevocable and unilateral legal transaction, which can only take place after the opening of the succession, but its effects are retroactive to that date.
It is executed by means of a public deed, when an heir wishes to declare they refuse the inheritance they were called to and, therefore, withdraws from the succession process.
